Gradualism is the theory that is assumed in that link that you posted.
Do you know, in some cases of Siberian fossils of mammoths, fresh grass was found in their bellies?
Does it not mean these mammoths were suddenly forced to die and frozen by an abrupt event?
Ice continents exist even now too. So the theory of ice age broken 10000 years ago does not hold much.
As per ice age theory, there was ice all around the earth.
